Men's Swim & Dive Edge Out Fullerton & Santa Ana
The Cypress College men’s swim and dive team finished 5th at the Orange Empire Conference tournament on Friday.
Fullerton, CA - The Cypress College men's swim and dive team finished 5th at the Orange Empire Conference tournament on Friday with 233 total points edging out Fullerton (165 points) and Santa Ana (60 points).
The Chargers started strong with a win over district rival Fullerton College in the 200-yard freestyle relay with an outstanding lead-off leg from freshman Mark Wyse. Freshman Nathan Panter had a strong showing in the 100-yard backstroke finishing 4th defeating Jacob Smith (Saddleback). Sophomore diver Arthur Lawrence displayed his diving skills and finished 4th on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
Next on the schedule is the Pasadena Invitational on April 8-9 at Pasadena City College.
