Freshman Jeremy Wright has been named Charger of the Week (Dec. 29-Jan. 2) after helping the men's basketball team to its best showing in non-conference tournament play at San Diego Mesa.
Freshman Jeremy Wright has been named Charger of the Week (Dec. 29-Jan. 2) after helping the men's basketball team to its best showing in non-conference tournament play at San Diego Mesa. In game one, he scored a team-high 20 points as Cypress defeated host San Diego Mesa, 68-64. He also scored in double-digits in a 93-79 win over Victory Valley (10), and then had nine in the tournament championship against Santa Ana (Cypress lost 66-65). The men's team won two of three games in the tournament and equaled its season total for wins from last season (7).
This was the second Charger of the week honor for the men's basketball team this season and first for Wright.
