CYPRESS, CA - Cypress women's soccer Megan Alcantara earns Charger of the week for her performances against the San Francisco Rams and Cañada Colts.
The Chargers opened the season with three consecutive wins as the team prepared for an extensive road trip up north. In Northern California, Cypress met with City College of San Francisco and Cañada College.
Against the Colts, the Chargers scored seven goals and shut out their opponent. Alcantara was a playmaker as she recorded three assists and a goal. For the Sunday game, she scored one of the two goals against the Rams to come away with the close victory.
In the women's soccer two huge road wins, Alcantara played a pivotal role up and down the field.

Alcantara managed to contribute in both the high scoring win against Cañada College and performed late game heroics in the San Francisco shutout.
UP NEXT: Chargers women's soccer will host their home opener on Wednesday, September 13th. Kickoff against Mt. San Antonio will be at 3pm.
