SASC Advisors
Cypress College is fortunate to have a dynamic group of advisors working in our SASC. Our student-athletes are able to glean wisdom from former and current coaches many of whom played at the Juco level. Our student-athletes are able to work directly with this talented group and learn firsthand what it takes to be successful and how to meet their goals.
Kaytlin Cota
Kaytlin grew up in the athletic department as her mom has worked in the department in eligibility for over twenty years. She began working in an official capacity in 2017, working athletic events and assisting within the athletic department offices. She has been an advisor in the Success Center since 2019. Supporting athletes has become a passion for her, and she feels that providing athletes with the tools to be successful is very important. Her passion is epitomized in her belief that she is providing athletes a safe space where she can be an ally for student-athletes who may need support beyond their sport.
Kaytlin attended nearby Kennedy High School where she was a dancer and competitive cheerleader. She received her Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Cypress College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Sociology at Cal State Dominguez Hills. When she is not supporting athletes, she enjoys spending time with her twin sister and watching sports.
