Chargers Softball Season Comes to a Close in the CCCAA Quarter FinalsMay 21, 2022The Cypress Chargers were one of four teams left standing when they entered Saturday's game versus Sierra College. Cypress defeated Sierra in round one of the CCCAA state tournament on Thursday, but the Wolverines got their revenge on the Chargers with a 4-2 victory to keep their championship hopes alive.

Cypress Draws Sierra College in Game One of State TournamentMay 17, 2022Cypress softball will begin their run at their 10th CCCAA State Championship on Thursday, May 19th. The Chargers earned the #2 seed in the south drawing the #3 seed Sierra Wolverines from the north in game one of the tournament. Cypress and Sierra will play the first game of the State Tournament at 11am with game two scheduled for 11am on Friday despite the outcome of game one.

Softball Punches Their Ticket to State!May 14, 2022The Cypress Chargers (35-13) hosted the Palomar Comets (34-9) in the CCCAA Super Regional on Saturday, May 14th. Cypress entered the day with a 1-0 series lead, but punched their ticket to the State Tournament with a huge 10-2 victory in game three.

No. 3 Chargers Host No. 6 Palomar in Super Regional on FridayMay 12, 2022Chargers Softball (33-12) will host the Palomar Comets (33-7) in a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, May 13th. First pitch will be at 2pm Friday and 12pm on Saturday with a third game following game two if necessary.

Cypress was led by the Orange Empire Conference MVP, Emily Rush, who took the Chargers to a 2-0 victory.

Cypress Softball Hosts Imperial Valley in Round One of the CCCAA Regional PlayoffsMay 05, 2022Cypress Chargers softball (31-11) has earned the #3 seed in the CCCAA state tournament. They will host #14 Imperial Valley (14-8) in a best of three series beginning on Friday, May 6th. The Chargers will host all three games at Cypress College with a double-header being played on Saturday if necessary.

Emily Rush Headlines as OEC MVP, 6 Chargers Named to All-Conference TeamMay 04, 2022Cypress softball was well represented on the Orange Empire Conference team as eight awards were brought home by the Chargers. Emily Rush earned the most prestigious award of them all as she was named OEC MVP. Cameron Curiel took home some hardware of her own as she was name OEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Rush, Curiel and Camryn Addimando earned OEC first team, while Eliza Sandoval, Paige Shafer and Jordan Thompson earned second team honors.

Chargers Earn #1 Seed in OEC TournamentApril 21, 2022Cypress Chargers softball (29-10, 17-4 OEC) have earned the #1 seed in the 2nd Annual OEC tournament. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 22nd, with the semi-finals being played on Monday, April 25th, and the championship game on Wednesday, April 27th. The Chargers will host all three games beginning with Riverside City College at 2pm on Friday.

Cypress Knocks Off #1 Santa Ana, 2-0April 14, 2022The Cypress Chargers (27-10, 15-4 OEC) entered Thursday's game versus the Santa Ana Dons (28-7, 15-4 OEC) one game back of first place in the Orange Empire Conference. The Chargers were able to roll past the Dons, 2-0, while also winning the season series 2-1.

#6 Chargers Come Alive in Game Two, Split Double Header with #7 PalomarApril 09, 2022The #6 Cypress Chargers (25-9, 13-3 OEC) hosted the #7 Palomar Comets (25-5) in a Saturday afternoon double header. The Chargers and Comets went back and forth all afternoon as Palomar took game one, 6-1, and Cypress was victorious in game two, 3-1.

Cypress Scores 11 Runs in Win Over Golden WestMarch 26, 2022Cypress Chargers softball (23-7, 12-2 OEC) hosted the Golden West Rustlers (8-14, 2-12 OEC) in an OEC matchup on Monday, April 4th. Cypress was able to get their bats going, defeating Golden West 11-3.
