RIVERSIDE, Calif. ---  Cypress finished fifth place overall at the Victoria GC with a combined score of (401) on Monday afternoon. Spencer Saunders shot a 75 on the Par 72 course and led Cypress in scoring.  Saunders had his best day of golf since he shot a 74 earlier in the season at Los Serranos back on February 12, 2014.

James Kim came into the clubhouse with a 78 while Connor Whitcomb rounded out the top three scorers for Cypress with a respectable score of 81.

The Chargers have finished fifth in the last four competitions and continue to hold off the Irvine Valley Lasers.  Santiago Canyon finished first on the day with a combined total of (373) strokes while Riverside College finished just one stroke behind the Hawks, (374).

Cypress competes again on Wednesday, April 16, at the Green River Golf Course in Corona, Calif.
