Was an All-League selection in high school. Vanessa's hobbies include snowboarding, painting, skiing, ping pong, football, napping and food contests. Her personal hero is Obi-Wan Kenobi, her favorite food is sushi and her favorite movie is Super Troopers. Vanessa is also a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. She is the daughter of Phillip and Norma Garcia and her hometown is Whittier, Calif.
