After spending 18 seasons as the assistant coach to legendary Head Coach Margaret Mohr, Ford now serves as the assistant coach under Head Coach B, bringing his experience and leadership into a new era of Chargers basketball. Coach Ford began his career at Cypress during the 2004-05 season and was a huge contributing factor in helping the Lady Chargers earn their first ever State Championship in school history.  Ford came to Cypress after a successful coaching career at Los Alamitos High School, where he served as the Griffins’ coach for 12 seasons. In 12 seasons, Coach Ford led the Los Alamitos Women’s Basketball program to 10 CIF playoff appearances.

Ford was promoted from assistant to Associate Head Coach for the Cypress Chargers by Margaret Mohr prior to the 2010-11 basketball season. Ford, who still teaches at Los Alamitos High, is a graduate of Fresno State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Ford also earned his Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Azusa Pacific.
