After 24 highly successful years at the helm of the Charger program, Coach Mohr is transitioning to a new role.  With the support of the campus leadership,  Coach Mohr handed the head coaching reigns to her longtime assistant and championship point guard Brittany Imaku. She is excited to help the program continue it's excellent tradition as an assistant coach.

Coach Mohr has amassed 30 years as a head coach and 4 years as an assistant coach in her storied coaching career. Her overall winning record with the Chargers is 438 wins, making her the winningest coach in program history.

Mohr secured seven Orange Empire Conference Championships, three OEC Coach of the Year Awards, seven Regional Finals appearances, a 2005 State Championship, a trip to the State Semi-Finals in 2011, and had a Top Academic Team in 2008, 2011, 2020, and 2022.

Growing up in a house with three brothers and four sisters that were all involved in athletics meant sports weren’t just a hobby in the Mohr household, they were a way of life. Coach Mohr would develop into an outstanding multi-sport high school athlete at La Reina High School. As a senior, Mohr led her basketball team to the 1983 Southern Section Class 1A basketball championship, while earning both CIF-SS and National Catholic Player of the Year honors. In addition to her outstanding play on the hardwood, Mohr earned All-CIF as the starting shortstop on her high school softball team, and All-CIF cross country honors. In 2004, the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame inducted Mohr for her memorable high school career at La Reina High.

Long Beach State head coach Joan Bonvincini took interest and offered Mohr a full-scholarship to play for the nationally ranked 49ers. By her junior season, Mohr was named team captain and starting point guard. Her 182 assists still rank her fourth on the single season record book. In Mohr’s senior campaign, the 49ers made history by becoming the first LBSU team to reach the NCAA Final Four after an inspiring season that included a Pacific Coast Athletic Association crown and No. 4 ranking in the national polls to close out the season. Coach Mohr was inducted into the Long Beach State Hall of Fame in 2011.

After graduating from Long Beach State with a bachelor’s in Physical Education, the 23-year-old began her coaching career. Coach Mohr now has over 34 years of experience at all levels. She coached alongside Jelly Bean Bryant and Michael Cooper with the LA Sparks. She has NCAA Division I level coaching experience with Long Beach State and Santa Clara University. Coach Mohr also has high school head coaching experience from her years with Long Beach Wilson High School.

Coach Mohr also leads within the campus as department coordinator of the kinesiology department. She greatly enjoys teaching and coaching. In her free time, Coach Mohr loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys playing and watching sports, paddle boarding, camping and traveling.
