(Lancaster, CA) Mt. SAC Women's Basketball, currently 13-1 on the season, captured the AVC Holiday Tournament by defeating College of Sequoias, 56-49. The team was led by Gina Henderson with 14 points and 7 rebounds, along with Caira Benton who contributed 11 points on 5-11 shooting from the floor.

The team made it to the championship game by defeating L.A. Pierce on the first night by a score 84-33 and taking down Cypress College on the second night by a score of 76-55.

Mt. SAC will have the holiday off and will then hit the floor again when they take on LA Pierce, once more, in the Fullerton College Tournament that opens up on December 27th. Game time is set for 6 pm.
