Cypress College Water Polo standout Casey Burke was presented with Charger of the Week honors by the Dean of Physical Education and Athletics, Dr. Richard Rams, at practice on Monday.

Burke was awarded for her contributions to the team's 3-1 Chaffey Tournament record that included wins over Cerritos, East LA, and Chaffey. Burke had a strong showing in the tournament, including a team leading 5 goal game in the tournament opener against Cerritos College. 

The sophomore driver was named All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team and Offensive Player of the year after scoring 60 goals during her 2014 freshman campaign. Burke will look to continue her strong play this season and help lead the Chargers water polo team to a excellent year.
