Chargers go 2-2 at Jet's Classic

Miramar, Calif. -- The Women's Water Polo Team spent the weekend at the Jet's Classic and came away with a 2-2 split. 

In the first game the Chargers played Mt. SAC and lost, 8-13. Top players for Cypress were Brittany Noss with three goals, Jennifer Perciado with two goals and three steals and Taylor Leach with two goals and four steals. 

In the second game the Chargers battled it out with Miramar into overtime. The game was still tied after the overtime period at which point it went into sudden death. That's when Perciado stepped up for the team and put in the game-winning goal to clinch the win for Cypress, 12-11. Perciado ended up with six goals and three steals on the day. Sadie Bryan had three goals and three steals and Brittany Noss had two goals and six steals.

Cypress then dropped the next game against Palomar, 4-11. In the game goalie Hailey Church had 13 saves and Leach and Kiley Kendall had two goals each. 

Cypress ended the tournament on a victory against Delta, 10-7. Leach was the top scorer with four goals. Bryan had three goals and Kendall chipped in two goals. 

The Chargers season record now stand at 6-8 as they head into the last half of the regular season.
