Fullerton, Calif. -- The Chargers were unable to pull of the road victory in today's road matchup against conference foe Fullerton College. The Hornets pulled out early with a 7-1 lead at the half and held that lead the rest of the game. The Chargers came alive in the third quarter with three goals, but they could not sustain the momentum and take home a 12-4 loss.

Charger freshman goalkeeper Hailey Church came up with 11 saves against the Hornets. Fellow freshman Taylor Leach had four steals and one goal. Sophomore Jennifer Preciado chipped in with three goals.

With the loss the Chargers fall to 3-6 on the season. Up next, the Chargers head back home to the Cypress College pool where on Wedneday Oct. 2 they take on Saddleback at 3pm.
