Chargers Take the Split

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif -- The Chargers record now stands at 3-5 after splitting the last two games they played this weekend in the Chaffey Tournament. 

Multiple Chargers found the goal in the morning's game against Fresno. Freshman Sadie Bryan was the high scorer with three goals. Freshman Kiley Kendall and Sophomore Brittany Noss each scored two goals. Freshman goalkeeper Hailey Church, coming off a strong performance yesterday, made 10 saves. 

The Chargers returned to the pool for a four o'clock match-up against Chaffey to close out the tournament. Chaffey was too much for Cypress as the Panthers finished doubling up on the Chargers, 14-7. High scorer for Cypress was sophomore Jennifer Preciado with three goals. Kiley Kendall, Sadie Bryan, Markee Budd and Taylor Leach chipped in with one goal each. Church ended the game with 12 saves. 

The Chargers finished the Chaffey Tournament going 2-2 and will be back in action playing at Fullerton College this Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 3:00pm.
