Sam Nguyen joins the 2013-14 Charger team as a Freshman from Los Alamitos High School. Sam was a scholar athlete from 2009-2013 and was part of a team that won two Sunset League Championships. Sam's mom is Jessica Nguyen and she has no siblings. Her favorite memory as a player was winning the Sunset League Championship her senior year.
Sam's hobbies include eating, reading, laughing and spending time with friends. Her favorite movie is "Tangled", her favorite TV show is Criminal Minds and her favorite athlete is Colin Kaepernick. Sam also cheers for the San Francisco 49ers.
Sam's goal after school is to receive a Doctorate in Kinesiology and pursue a career in the medical field as a physical therapist or an athletic trainer.
