CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Cypress Chargers (28-12) will host a first round southern section matchup against Grossmont College (21-17) on Saturday, May 3, with the time set to be announced shortly. 

The Chargers were awarded the number two overall seed while Palomar College (31-4) earned the number one overall spot heading into the state tournament.

The Lady Chargers finished fourth in the OEC standings, having won five of their last seven games heading into post season play. 

Cypress impressed the State with their back to back victories (10-4, 7-3), over the number one seeded Palomar Comets back on April 12.
