Citrus Payback

Citrus Payback

CYPRESS, Calif. ---  Mylee Macahilig delivered at the right time on Saturday morning and led the Chargers to their 3-0 victory over the Citrus Owls.  Macahilig hit a deep triple towards right field in the bottom of the fifth which drove in Kathy Villa and Alendrina Pichardo for the second and third runs of the game.

Khailey Campos scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first.  Campos was brought in my Alejandra Guillen's double in her first up to bat of the day.

On top of her big hit, Guillen pitched all seven innings and allowed only five hits in the contest.  Guillen is now 4-0 on the season from the mound for the Lady Chargers.

Both Chelsee Herron and Christiana Viayra continued playing at a consistent level as they both went 1 for 3 on the day for Cypress.

The Chargers are now (15-5) overall after getting revenge on a Citrus team who beat them earlier this season by a score of 5-4.

Cypress will face San Diego Mesa at 3:00 PM in game number two of their Saturday double-header.
