Men's Basketball Receives Four All-Orange Empire Conference Selections

The Cypress College men's basketball team has wrapped up their most successful regular season in 25 years. After a 2nd place finish in conference play, sophomore standouts Jeremy Wright, Jordan Fleck, Nolan Kelly, and Austin Payne have been selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team. Wright and Fleck were selected to the OEC First Team while Kelly and Payne were Second Team selections.

Jeremy Wright is the team's second leading scorer this season averaging 12.3 PPG. However, his production increased tremendously during conference play. Wright was the third leading scorer in the OEC during conference play (16.2 PPG) while also averaging the second most assists (3.9 APG). He is the floor general and leader for the Chargers who never shy's away from taking the big shot.

Jordan Fleck is the Chargers' leading scorer this season and second leading scorer in the conference (15.2 PPG) while shooting an efficient 45.3% from the field and 46.1% from long range. Fleck also leads Cypress in rebounds (6.9 RPG) and steals (2.2 SPG). He has the ability to take over games on both ends of the floor and make winning plays for his team.

Nolan Kelly single handedly has the ability to control a game with his three-point shooting and athleticism. Kelly is averaging 12 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 1.6 APG this season and is the only Charger to score 30 points in a game.

Austin Payne has been a solid all-around player for the Chargers this season. Payne leads the team in blocks with 24 this season, while averaging 11.1 PPG and 4.5 RPG. Payne's versatility allows has been a key to the team's success.
