(Walnut, CA) Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Program will begin their quest for its sixth California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship, this Saturday (11/20). The Mounties (14-2-2) have received the #1 seed in the SoCal Regional Playoffs and will host #16 seed Cypress (9-6-5) at 4:00 pm.
The Mounties last faced the Chargers in 1993, when Mt. SAC won (4-0) in a non-conference match-up.
The winner of the game will take on the winner of the Santa Ana (#8 seed) and Irvine Valley (#9 seed) match, on Tuesday (11/23), at a time yet to be determined.
The Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Program, under Head Coach Juan Sanchez, has captured five CCCAA State Championships, which along with Foothill and Santa Ana College is the most in CCCAA history. The 2021 South Coast Conference (North Division) Champion Mounties have reached the CCCAA State Championships 13 times, including an amazing 11 consecutive season streak.
