WALNUT, CA- The Cypress women's soccer team (19-1-2) are on their way to their first final four appearance in over 10 seasons with the hope to capture their fourth state championship and first since 2004. The Chargers will take on Fresno City College in the CCCAA State Semi-Final on Friday, December 3rd, at 4pm. The match will be held at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA.
Cypress has battled to become one of the four remaining teams (Cypress, Fresno, Mt. San Antonio, and North Hartnell) in the State tournament. The Cypress Chargers and Fresno Rams will be playing their second match this season, after Cypress defeated Fresno, 1-0, in the Ventura Tournament earlier this season. The Rams have had a very successful season going (15-2-7) and have not lost a match since the Cypress game on September 4th. The Chargers have an all-time record against Fresno City of (4-2-4) with their last loss coming in 2017. The Rams have score 66 goals this season while only allowing 14 goals in 24 games, where the Chargers have scored 59 goals and allowed 9 goals in 22 games. Cypress enters the CCCAA Semi-Final on a nine-game win streak where they have outscored their opponent 21 to 3 in those matches.
