Softball Makes it 4 in a Row with Win Over Saddleback

CYPRESS, CA- Cypress Chargers softball (19-4, 9-2 OEC) hosted the Saddleback Bobcats (6-14, 2-8) on Wednesday afternoon. Cypress defeated Saddleback for the second time this season 7-1. 

The Chargers offense was led by Camryn Addimando who went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI's. Emily Rush (1-for-3, 2 RBI) hit her seventh home run of the season and pitched 3.2 innings. Eliza Sandoval (2-for-3) and Cameron Curiel (1-for-3) each drove in one run at the plate for the Chargers. 

After a scoreless first inning, Cameron Curiel singled to center field scoring Ariana Hencke to put Cypress up 1-0. Ehva Cifuentes-Zombulovic of Saddleback tied up the game with a solo home run in the top of the third inning. The Chargers would break the tie in the bottom of the third with a double by Eliza Sandoval. Addimando added two more runs in the inning to make the Cypress lead 4-1. In the 6th inning, Emily Rush broke the game open with 2-run home run over the left field fence. The Chargers would tally one more run and win the game 7-1. 

UP NEXT: #9 Cypress softball will be back in play on Saturday, March 26th, for a double-header versus #1 Mt. San Antonio College. The Chargers and Mounties will play two games with the first pitch at 12pm. The game will be streamed live on our Cypress Chargers Youtube page.
