Cypress Men’s Water Polo Earns First Playoff Berth Since the Return of the Program

CYPRESS, CA - Cypress Men's Water Polo has qualified for the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs for the first time in over 20 years, with an overall record of 14-12. The program was suspended following the 2002 season, but was recently brought back in Fall 2019 following the hiring of current Head Coach, Mark Canner. The Chargers enter the postseason as the No. 10 seed in SoCal and will take on No. 7 seeded Long Beach City College on Thursday, November 9 at 10:15am at Citrus College. The winner will advance to take on No. 2 seeded Saddleback College on Friday, November 10 at 11:30am. 

Ticket prices will be $12 for general admission, $8 for children (11 and under), seniors (60+), and students (high school or college with valid ID). Ticket purchases can be made online at this link, HomeTown Ticketing. At the gate, tickets may be purchased (advance purchase is preferred). At the venue, cash will not be accepted. 

Cypress men's water polo finished fourth in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 2-6. The Chargers stamped their ticket to the playoffs with an impressive 13-6 victory over Riverside City College during last week's OEC Championship Tournament.
