CYPRESS, CA - Cypress men's water polo (6-5, 0-2 OEC) hosted Westcliff University (6-8, 1-1 Cal Pac) on Wednesday afternoon for a non conference match. The Chargers fell to the Warriors, 17-11.
At the start of the game, the Warriors held the Chargers to four points in the entire first half.
Then, Cypress picked up the energy at the start of the third quarter with three goals scored in a row, 10-7. However, the Warriors did not let up and defended their way back up to a 15-8 lead.
The Warriors kept the offensive pressure alive to end the game with a 17-11 victory over the Chargers.
The Chargers were led by Aydann Hambruch's five goals, Nathan Napohaku's two steals, and Gabe Zamora's 10 saves in the net.
