Men's Basketball Takes Down Saddleback in Overtime Thriller, 76-68

Mission Viejo, CA- The Cypress Chargers (11-6, 3-2) snapped a 25 game losing streak to the Saddleback Bobcats (10-7, 2-3) dating all the way back to Jan. 18, 2008.  Despite the absence of head coach Andrew Alhadeff, the Chargers got their revenge with a nail biting 76-68 overtime win at Saddleback with associate head coach Jordan Hamamoto earning his first win.

Ramiah Adedigba led the charge scoring 15 points while also racking up six rebounds, one assist and one steal. Trent Goldmann made the most of his 21 minutes, scoring 13 points shooting 4-8 from the field (3-4 from the 3-point line) and securing four rebounds. Tommie Flanagan also provided a spark off the bench for the Chargers, playing 41 minutes of the game and accounted for 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Chargers were down 33-25 at the end of the first half, but would turn up the heat in the second half, outscoring the Bobcats 51-35 in the second half and overtime period. The Chargers would marginally lead the Bobcats in all major statistical categories and shoot 46% as a team. Just what they needed to pull off the big conference win.
