Jesni Cooper hit three free throws with one tenth of a second on the clock to send Thursday's Southern California Regional second round playoff game to into overtime at 62 all, but GCC ultimately fell to visiting Cypress 70-68 to end is season with a 19-6 record.

Glendale, the 2021-22 WSC Southern Division Champions, trailed after each of the first three quarters of the game, 15-13 after the first quarter, 31-25 at halftime and 49-44 after the third 10-minute stanza before Cypress extended its lead to 57-44 with 7:06 left in the game. But a basket by the game's leading scorer Kayla Wrobel, cut the lead to 57-46 and then consecutive two pointers by Ani Boyajyan and Copper cut the lead further to 57-50.

The Lady Vaqs still trailed 59-50 before Vicky Oganyan and Cooper each hit on a pair of 3-pointers to trail 62-59 to set up Cooper's free throws with almost no time left on the clock when she was fouled on a 3-point attempt. Wrobel led GCC with 28 points and 12 rebounds and Cooper finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
