CYPRESS, CA - Cypress Softball, Kaitlyn Reynolds, earns Charger of the Week for her performance the week of March 4-10.
The Cypress Chargers softball team opened the Orange Empire Conference play with a commanding 3-game sweep over Santa Ana College, showcasing their dominance on the field. Their momentum carried into the weekend as they faced Antelope Valley City College in a doubleheader event on Saturday, March 9.
In game 1, Cypress shut out the Marauders with a decisive 6-0 victory, setting the tone for the day. However, it was in game 2 where history was made, as pitcher Reynolds delivered a flawless performance, pitching a perfect game with seven strikeouts. Reynolds' exceptional skill and precision in the circle led Cypress to an impressive 11-0 mercy win in game 2.
Throughout the week, Reynolds proved to be a force to be reckoned with, allowing only 1 run in all 5 games played and totaling 18 strikeouts.
