CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress women's tennis team (2-6, 2-6 OEC) secured their second win of the season against Saddleback (0-8, 0-8 OEC) on Wednesday afternoon, 7-2. 

In the doubles matches, Victoria Gomes and Jayda Steele executed their offensive strategy well after securing a major 8-3 win over their opponents Sumari Kitsiuger and Alexa Berg. Coach Matt Harris was impressed with their ability to regroup and earn a rematch victory after the pair's 8-2 loss on Tuesday. Jayda Steele and Kaylene Fabros played to their strengths during their singles matches but ultimately fell a little short during their respective second sets. The Chargers are ecstatic with their back-to-back wins against Saddleback this past week. Coach Matt Harris commented about how happy he has been with the team's commitment to the process and loves seeing their improvement every day. 

UP NEXT: The Chargers will close out the final two games of the season next week against the Orange Coast Pirates starting Tuesday 5/11 at 2pm.
