  • Chargers Come Up Short in CCCAA State Final, 3-0
    December 05, 2021
    Cypress women's soccer (20-2-2) faced their final test on Sunday morning as they traveled to Mt. San Antonio College for the CCCAA State Championship against Hartnell College. The Hartnell Panthers (22-2-2) defeated the Chargers 3-0, as they raised the State Championship trophy for the first time in program history. 
  • Women's Soccer to State, Defeat Fresno 2-1

    The Cypress Chargers (20-1-2) traveled to Mt. San Antonio College to take on the Fresno Rams (15-3-7) for the CCCAA State Semi-Finals. Cypress took down Fresno, 2-1, to advance to the State Finals for the first time since 2004.
  • 8 Lady Chargers Represent Cypress On All-OEC Team

    The Orange Empire Conference has released the 2021 All-Conference teams for women's soccer. Cypress has eight selections; Jassmin Ortiz, Anahi Diaz, Siriana Gudino and Jade Bernardo being named to the first team and Alyssa Villalobos, Presli Dillon, Lucia Yanez and Fabiola Salazar named to the second team.
  • Women's Soccer CCCAA State Championship Preview (Dec.3 - Dec. 5)

    The Cypress women's soccer team (19-1-2) are on their way to their first final four appearance in over 10 seasons with the hope to capture their fourth state championship and first since 2004. The Chargers will take on Fresno City College in the CCCAA State Semi-Final on Friday, December 3rd, at 4pm. The match will be held at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. 
  • Chargers Punch Their Ticket to the State Semi-Finals

    Cypress women's soccer (19-1-2) faced off against Saddleback College (19-2-2) in the CCCAA Regional Final on Saturday night. The Chargers punched their ticket to the State Semi-Finals with a 1-0 win over the Bobcats in a thrilling defensive battle. The win not only sends Cypress to the next round, but it marks the 100th win for Coach Erick Hurtarte since he took over as head coach in 2014.
  • Women’s Soccer Travels to Saddleback College for CCCAA Regional Finals
    November 24, 2021
    #4 Cypress women's soccer (18-1-2) has advanced the regional finals after defeating conference foe, Santiago Canyon, 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday afternoon (11/23). The Chargers will face-off against another OEC opponent en route to their desired state championship, when they face the #3 Saddleback Bobcats Saturday night. 
  • Women's Soccer Hosts Santiago Canyon (11/23) in Round 2

    Cypress women's soccer (17-1-2) defeated El Camino College on Friday (11/19) in Round 1 of the CCCAA SoCal Regionals. The #3 Chargers have advanced to the next round and will host #6 Santiago Canyon (18-2-1) on Tuesday, November 23rd, at 2pm. 
  • Brianna Cortez Leads the Chargers to Round 2 in Win Over El Camino, 2-0

    Cypress Chargers women's soccer (17-1-2) opened up postseason play this afternoon against the El Camino Warriors (9-9-3) in the first round of the SoCal Regional playoffs. The Chargers will advance to the second round after defeating the Warriors 2-0. 
  • Chargers Host in Round One of the CCCAA Regional Playoffs

    The Cypress women's soccer team (16-1-2, 11-1-2 OEC) has advanced to the CCCAA playoffs after taking the OEC crown for the second season in a row. The Chargers will host Round 1 of the Regional Playoffs on Saturday, November 20, against the winner of #14 Santa Monica and #19 El Camino. The Chargers come into the playoffs ranked #3 after a successful 2021 campaign. 
  • Women's Soccer Are Back to Back OEC Champs!

    Cypress women's soccer (16-1-2, 11-1-2 OEC) travled to Fulleton to college in hopes of bringing back to OEC title. The Chargers clinched the OEC Championship on Friday afternoon after taking down the Fullerton Hornets 2-1 in an exciting match. 
  • Women's Soccer Back On Top, Defeat Santiago Canyon 2-0

    Cypress women's soccer (15-1-2, 10-1-2 OEC) faced their most important test of the season on Tuesday afternoon. The #6 Chargers took on the #2 Santiago Canyon Hawks in a battle for the top spot in the Orange Empire Conference. Cypress came out victorious as they took care of business defeating Santiago Canyon, 2-0. 
  • #6 Chargers Defeat Shorthanded Orange Coast, 3-0
    November 02, 2021
    The Cypress women's soccer team (13-1-2, 8-1-2 OEC) hosted the Orange Coast Pirates (6-10-1, 1-8 OEC) on Tuesday afternoon. Orange Coast was shorthanded with only eleven players as the Chargers took advantage and earned a 3-0 victory. 
  • #7 Chargers Take Down Rival Fullerton, 1-0
    October 19, 2021
    Cypress women's soccer (9-1-1, 4-1-1 OEC) was back on their home pitch on Tuesday afternoon to face the inter-district rival Fullerton Hornets (5-5-2, 2-4-1 OEC). The defensive battle was controlled by the Chargers as they took a 1-0 victory. 
  • #1 Women's Soccer Wins in Commanding Fashion, 5-0

    The Cypress Chargers women's soccer team (8-0-1, 3-0-1 OEC) took on the Santa Ana Dons on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers coasted to victory with ease, 5-0. 
  • Women's Soccer Battles to a Draw, 0-0

    The #1 ranked Cypress Chargers (7-0, 2-0 OEC) hosted the #5 ranked Saddleback Bobcats (7-0, 1-0 OEC) on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers and Bobcats went back and forth all afternoon, but were unable to find the back of the net. The match ended in a draw 0-0. 
  • Women's Soccer Coasts to Victory in OEC Opener, 4-0
    September 28, 2021
    The Cypress Chargers women's soccer team (6-0, 1-0 OEC) opened Conference play on Tuesday afternoon against Irvine Valley (1-7-1, 0-1 OEC) at Ray Haas Field.  The #2 ranked Chargers stayed perfect on the season as they defeated the Lasers, 4-0. 
  • Women's Soccer Ranked #2 in the Nation, Begin Season 5-0

    The Cypress women's soccer team (5-0) is off to a historic start as they were ranked #2 in the nation by the NJCCA (National Junior College Athletic Association) in the first women's soccer rankings of the year. The Lady Chargers have been on a tear scoring six goals in each of their last three games. 
  • Chargers Dominate in Home Opener, 6-2

    The Cypress College women's soccer team (3-0) hosted their first home match of the season against College of the Desert (2-2). The Chargers came out victorious after their offense propelled them to a 6-2 victory.
