CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress College women's soccer team finished the regular season with a 12-5-3 overall record and 11-2-3 record in Orange Empire Conference play, which was good enough to finish second in the conference. During the annual OEC coaches meeting on Monday night, All-Conference selections were made for the 2017 season.

Cypress' Julissa Zuniga, Mary Dynda, and Renae Francis received All-Orange Empire Conference First Team honors. Kristen Nolan, Julissa Casillas, and Tabatha Macedo were selected to the All-OEC Second Team.

Sophomore midfielder and 2016 All-OEC Second Team selection, Julissa Zuniga, made the jump to first team after another strong season with the Chargers. Zuniga found the back of the net three times and tied the team-high with four assists in 19 games starts.

Freshman midfielder Mary Dynda had a breakout season, leading the Chargers with seven regular season goals, while tying the team-high in assists with four.

Freshman forward Renae Francis, who joined the team later in the season, made her presence felt in just 13 appearances. Francis used her speed to collect four goals and one assist for the Chargers.

Sophomore forward and back-to-back All-OEC selection, Kristen Nolan, added six goals this season, while freshman Julissa Casillas and freshman goalie Tabatha Macedo anchored the Chargers' defense.
