The Cypress College women's soccer team (13-2-6, 10-1-5 OEC) has been given the No. 13 seed for the 2016 SoCal Regional Playoffs.
The Chargers, who finished second in the Orange Empire Conference, will open up postseason play on the road against No. 4 seed South Coast Conference North Division Champion Rio Hondo (13-1-5, 5-0-3 SCC) on Saturday, November 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets to the CCCAA postseason event are $12 for general admission and $8 for staff, students, and children.
The two teams have not met this season but Cypress is 2-0 all-time against the Roadrunners, with their last meeting ending in a 7-0 shutout (9/2/07).
A win over Rio Hondo would advance the Chargers to the second round where they would face the winner of No. 5 San Bernardino Valley College and No. 12 San Diego Mesa College on either Nov. 22 or 23.
