Women's Basketball

Brittany Imaku is entering her first season as Head Coach of Cypress College Women's Basketball program after serving six seasons as an assistant coach under Margaret Mohr. A member of Cypress College’s 2004-2005 State championship team, Imaku has returned to help coach Mohr win her second state title. Prior to her current tenure, Imaku was the assistant varsity coach at Calvary Chapel Downey Christian School and head junior varsity coach from 2011 to 2015. She also served as an assistant track and field coach.

Coach Brittany attended Cypress College as a student from 2003 to 2005. As an athlete, she helped the team win a state championship, was named All-League, and was awarded state MVP. She transferred to San Jose State in 2005 and played her way on to the All-Conference team. She graduated in 2008 with a BA in Child Development. As well as earning her Master’s Degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University in 2020.

With her passion and love for the game, Imaku can have an impact on the athletes and help in their development and growth. With her education, coaching background, and championship experience, Imaku serves to be an impactful asset to the coaching staff.
