  • 4 Cypress Women's Basketball Players Headed to the Next Level
    July 21, 2020
    The Cypress College women's basketball program completed a successful (21-7) season in which they made a trip to the CCCAA Regional Championships. Four players from the 2019-2020 season have since committed to play at the next level at three different four-year universities. Jessica Barrow, Alison Nelson, Sara Weber, and Celine Altamirano will be spread across the country as they take their talents to the next level. 
  • MohrHoops Summer Basketball Camp

    Cypress College women's basketball coach, Margaret Mohr, is hosting her 22nd annual "MohrHoops" summer basketball camp. This year's camps are scheduled for July 13th-July 17th and August 10th-August 14th. Boys and girls ages 7-14 can participate in either Monday-Friday session. All camp participants will receive a camp t-shirt, jersey, basketball, player evaluation, and other prizes.
  • No. 9 Chargers Outmatched by No. 1 Moorpark, 70-39

    The Cypress College women's basketball team traveled to No. 1 Moorpark College for the Southern California Regional Finals. The No. 9 Chargers came up short, 70-39, in an effort that closes the book on an impressive Cypress Charger basketball season.
  • Chargers Storm Back and Knock Off Rio Hondo, 73-66

    The Cypress College women's basketball team (20-6) traveled to Rio Hondo (20-8) Friday night for the 2nd rounds of the SoCal Regional. The Chargers overcame a 13-point deficit to stun the Roadrunners, 73-66.
  • Jessica Barrow, Pressila Blanco, and Sarah Welch Earn All-Conference Honors

    At the annual post-conference women's basketball coaches meeting, the OEC coaches selected the First and Second All-Orange Empire Conference Teams. Cypress' Jessica Barrow, Pressila Blanco, and Sarah Welch earned a spot on their respective teams.
  • Chargers Edge Out Hornets, 68-64

    Cypress College women's basketball (19-5, 8-2 OEC) beat the Fullerton Hornets (15-9, 7-3 OEC) at Don Johnson Court on Thursday night. Cypress knocked down big shots throughout the game to come out on top.

    Cypress, CA- The Cypress women's basketball team hosted Golden West on Wednesday night at Don Johnson Court. The Charger's bounced back in big way beating the Rustlers by 25.
  • Overtime loss snaps Chargers 9-game win streak

    Cypress, CA- No. 12 Women’s basketball (15-4, 4-1 OEC) lost in heartbreak fashion to No. 7 Irvine Valley (13-7, 3-5 OEC). Cypress fell in a back and forth overtime game, 77-63.
  • Chargers keep streak alive with 7th straight win

    CYPRESS,CA- The women’s basketball team got out to a hot start and defeated the Santa Ana Dons (7-10, 1-2 OEC) on Wednesday night 65-54. #16 Cypress is (13-3, 2-0 OEC) as they currently sit in third place in the conference.
  • Chargers Take Down Grossmont and Citrus, Advance to Tournament Championship

    El Cajon, CA- The Chargers kicked off the 32nd Annual Grossmont Holiday Classic with back-to-back wins to begin the tournament. The Lady Chargers (9-3) defeated Grossmont (0-12) 77-52 on Tuesday and Citrus (2-10) 68-37 last night to punch their ticket to the championship game.
  • Chargers Finish Third in 36th Annual Lady Charger Classic

    Cypress, CA- The Cypress College women’s basketball program hosted the 36th annual Lady Charger Classic over the weekend. The Chargers finished 2-1 on the weekend, beating El Camino College on Sunday Night to claim third place.
  • Chargers Take 3rd place in Ventura College Tournament

    Cypress, CA- The Cypress College women’s basketball team took home third place in the Ventura College- Kiwanis Tournament of Champions. They defeated Long Beach College 85-77 Saturday afternoon with a thrilling overtime victory.
