CYPRESS, CA- Cypress Chargers softball (29-10, 17-4 OEC) have earned the #1 seed in the 2nd Annual OEC tournament. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 22nd, with the semi-finals being played on Monday, April 25th, and the championship game on Wednesday, April 27th. The Chargers will host all three games beginning with Riverside City College at 2pm on Friday. 

Cypress has a 3-0 record versus the Riverside Tigers this season scoring at least 7 runs in each game. Cypress last faced Riverside on Monday, April 18th, where they shut the Tigers out 7-0. The Chargers are on a four game winning streak while leading the Orange Empire Conference in runs scored (234) and triples (17). Cypress is looking to win their 25th OEC championship and their first since 2019. The Chargers have the opportunity to win the OEC tournament championship for the second consecutive season, after defeating the Fullerton Hornets 5-0 last season.
