  • Chargers Softball Season Comes to a Close in the CCCAA Quarter Finals
    May 21, 2022
    The Cypress Chargers were one of four teams left standing when they entered Saturday's game versus Sierra College. Cypress defeated Sierra in round one of the CCCAA state tournament on Thursday, but the Wolverines got their revenge on the Chargers with a 4-2 victory to keep their championship hopes alive. 
  • Cypress Draws Sierra College in Game One of State Tournament

    Cypress softball will begin their run at their 10th CCCAA State Championship on Thursday, May 19th. The Chargers earned the #2 seed in the south drawing the #3 seed Sierra Wolverines from the north in game one of the tournament. Cypress and Sierra will play the first game of the State Tournament at 11am with game two scheduled for 11am on Friday despite the outcome of game one. 
  • Softball Punches Their Ticket to State!

    The Cypress Chargers (35-13) hosted the Palomar Comets (34-9) in the CCCAA Super Regional on Saturday, May 14th. Cypress entered the day with a 1-0 series lead, but punched their ticket to the State Tournament with a huge 10-2 victory in game three. 
  • No. 3 Chargers Host No. 6 Palomar in Super Regional on Friday

    Chargers Softball (33-12) will host the Palomar Comets (33-7) in a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, May 13th. First pitch will be at 2pm Friday and 12pm on Saturday with a third game following game two if necessary. 
  • Chargers Advance to Round 2 with 3-1 Victory

    #3 Cypress Chargers softball came out victorious in round one of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs. The Chargers won games one and three of the three game-series to advance to the next round. 
  • Chargers Take Game One of So Cal Regional, 2-0

    #3 Cypress Chargers softball hosted #14 Imperial Valley for the first game of the three game series in round one of the CCCAA So Cal Regionals. Cypress was led by the Orange Empire Conference MVP, Emily Rush, who took the Chargers to a 2-0 victory. 
  • Cypress Softball Hosts Imperial Valley in Round One of the CCCAA Regional Playoffs

    Cypress Chargers softball (31-11) has earned the #3 seed in the CCCAA state tournament. They will host #14 Imperial Valley (14-8) in a best of three series beginning on Friday, May 6th. The Chargers will host all three games at Cypress College with a double-header being played on Saturday if necessary.
  • Emily Rush Headlines as OEC MVP, 6 Chargers Named to All-Conference Team

    Cypress softball was well represented on the Orange Empire Conference team as eight awards were brought home by the Chargers. Emily Rush earned the most prestigious award of them all as she was named OEC MVP. Cameron Curiel took home some hardware of her own as she was name OEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Rush, Curiel and Camryn Addimando earned OEC first team, while Eliza Sandoval, Paige Shafer and Jordan Thompson earned second team honors. 
  • Cypress Comes Up Short in OEC Championship, 3-2

    The #1 Cypress Chargers hosted the #2 Santa Ana Dons for the OEC tournament championship on Wednesday, April 27th. The Dons knocked off the Chargers, 3-2, in a thrilling game as they were crowned tournament and conference champions. 
  • Chargers Blow Past Tigers in Tournament Opener, 18-1

    The #1 Cypress Chargers (30-10, 18-4 OEC) hosted the #8 Riverside Tigers (11-29, 3-19) in the Orange Empire Conference tournament opener on Friday afternoon. The Chargers sailed past the Tigers, 18-1, in five innings of play. 
  • Chargers Earn #1 Seed in OEC Tournament
    April 21, 2022
    Cypress Chargers softball (29-10, 17-4 OEC) have earned the #1 seed in the 2nd Annual OEC tournament. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 22nd, with the semi-finals being played on Monday, April 25th, and the championship game on Wednesday, April 27th. The Chargers will host all three games beginning with Riverside City College at 2pm on Friday.
  • Cypress Knocks Off #1 Santa Ana, 2-0
    April 14, 2022
    The Cypress Chargers (27-10, 15-4 OEC) entered Thursday's game versus the Santa Ana Dons (28-7, 15-4 OEC) one game back of first place in the Orange Empire Conference. The Chargers were able to roll past the Dons, 2-0, while also winning the season series 2-1. 
  • #6 Chargers Come Alive in Game Two, Split Double Header with #7 Palomar

    The #6 Cypress Chargers (25-9, 13-3 OEC) hosted the #7 Palomar Comets (25-5) in a Saturday afternoon double header. The Chargers and Comets went back and forth all afternoon as Palomar took game one, 6-1, and Cypress was victorious in game two, 3-1. 
  • Cypress Sails Past Pirates, 4-2
    April 06, 2022
    Charger softball (24-7, 13-2 OEC) hosted the Orange Coast Pirates (14-16, 6-9 OEC) on Wednesday afternoon. Cypress was able to come back from an early 2-0 deficet to defeat OCC 4-2.
  • Cypress Scores 11 Runs in Win Over Golden West

    Cypress Chargers softball (23-7, 12-2 OEC) hosted the Golden West Rustlers (8-14, 2-12 OEC) in an OEC matchup on Monday, April 4th. Cypress was able to get their bats going, defeating Golden West 11-3. 
  • Softball Makes it 4 in a Row with Win Over Saddleback

    Cypress Chargers softball (19-4, 9-2 OEC) hosted the Saddleback Bobcats (6-14, 2-8) on Wednesday afternoon. Cypress defeated Saddleback for the second time this season 7-1. 
  • Chargers Take Down Rival Fullerton in 5 Innings, 9-1

    Cypress softball (18-4, 8-2 OEC) hosted the Fullerton Hornets (11-10, 6-4 OEC) in an OEC matchup on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers took care of business in five innings as they defeated the Hornets 9-1.

    Cypress Chargers softball (13-3. 5-1 OEC) hosted the Riverside Tigers on Wednesday afternoon. After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, Cypress coasted to the finish line with a win, 7-3.
  • Eliza Sandoval Leads Cypress Over Cerritos, 6-3

    The Cypress Chargers (12-3, 5-1 OEC) hosted the Cerritos Falcons (14-5) on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers were poised for a good performance coming off their first OEC loss of the season to Santa Ana College one day prior (3/4). Eliza Sandoval shined against Cerritos leading Cypress to a 6-3 victory.
  • Cameron Curiel Leads the Chargers Over Santiago Canyon 6-0

    Coming off their first loss of the season, the Cypress Chargers (8-1, 2-0 OEC) bounced back with a message sending 6-0 victory against the number two seeded Santiago Canyon Hawks (10-2, 2-1 OEC) on Wednesday. The Chargers now have their eye on the number one seed in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC).
  • Cypress Begins OEC Play with Resounding 4-0 Victory Against OCC

    The Cypress Chargers (7-0, 1-0 OEC) hosted the Orange Coast Pirates (6-4, 0-1 OEC) on Wednesday afternoon.  The Chargers stayed undefeated garnering serious momentum as they began Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play with a 4-0 victory.
  • The Chargers Make it Three in a Row With Sweep Over San Diego Mesa

    The Cypress Chargers (3-0) played host to the San Diego Mesa Olympians (1-4) in a two game matchup on Friday afternoon. The Chargers came out on top in both games, 13-1 (Game 1) and 2-1 (Game 2). 
  • Softball Dominates, 8-0, in Season Opener

    The Chargers opened their season up with a quick six inning, 8-0, victory against the East Los Angeles Huskies on Tuesday. The Chargers out hit the Huskies 11-2.
  • Italy's Amanda Fama Represents Cypress College at the Tokyo Olympics

    Amanda Fama made Cypress history as the first alum to represent the Chargers in the Olympics when she took the field on Tuesday, July 20th, for the Italian Softball National team.
