Sophomore Cypress College softball standout Hope Davalos was awarded her first Charger of the Week this season during Wednesday's practice.

Davalos helped lead the Chargers to four wins, extending the program's consecutive unbeaten streak to 55 games, going 3-0 with one save in the pitchers circle last week (Feb. 5-11). Davalos, who currently leads the CCCAA with six wins, racked up 10 strikeouts with a 0.80 ERA in 22.2 innings. The Colorado State University Pueblo transfer began the week pitching back-to-back complete games on the road against El Camino and Long Beach City. She followed up her mid-week performances with a victory over Pasadena and a save in relief against College of the Canyons in their Saturday double-header.

Davalos is 6-0 with a 1.53 ERA in seven appearances so far this season.
