Swim & Dive

Associate Head Coach Denise Haley is a staple of the Cypress College Swim Program, coaching with the Chargers since 2003. Denise first became acquainted with the program as an athlete. She then earned her Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach in 2004. She completed her Master’s in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific University.

As a Charger coach, Denise focuses on strength condition and swim techniques. She was recently the strength coach for legendary Olympic swimmer Janet Evans. As one of the top fitness instructors at the college, Denise earned a nomination for Orange County Teacher of the Year.
