Lorenzo Laviolette Earns Charger of the Week (Aug. 27-Sept. 2)

Freshman men's soccer standout and team captain, Lorenzo Laviolette, earned the first Charger of the Week of the 2018-2019 season after an outstanding performance in two games for the Chargers last week.

After the Chargers dropped their season opening game at College of the Canyons, Laviolette notched himself a hat trick in the team's home opening victory over Glendale College. The Western High School alumnus scored the first goal of the season for the Chargers, giving them a 1-0 lead, before tacking on two more goals for the Chargers giving them a 6-3 win.

The Cypress College men's soccer team is currently 1-2 in non-conference play and received votes in the season's first CCCSIA men's soccer poll.
