Cypress Grabs Second Place at Cuyamaca Classic

EL CAJON, CA - Cypress Chargers men's golf traveled to Sycuan CC for their third tournament of the season. Cypress (372) grabbed second place after conference rival, Saddleback College, shot a team low (366) which was their lowest score in 15 years.

Cypress was led by co-medalist Adam Naaman who shot a tournament low 71 along with three other competitors. Willis Panzarello carded a 2-over 74 while Hampus Henriksson scored a 75. The final three Chargers in the lineup finshed four over par as all six participants were able to shoot under 80 on the day. 

After a strong team performance Cypress came up six strokes short from the tournament leader. The Chargers finished six strokes ahead of third place Riverside (378) and seven strokes ahead of Mt. San Antonio and College of the Desert. 

UP NEXT: The Chargers will play in their final pre-confernece match on Monday, February 28th. The Riverside Invitational will be hosted at Victoria CC beginning at 11am.
