Chargers Roll in Final Game of the Season, 88-53

CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College men's basketball team (2-1) competed in their third and final game of the season against Palo Verde (2-8) on Thursday night. The Chargers dominated all aspects of the game and went on to win, 88-53. 

Tommie Flanagan led the Chargers from the jump with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Sam Rex was the star off the bench for the Chargers scoring 11 points, grabbing three rebounds, and coming up with three steals in only nine minutes. Harrison Davis reached double figures with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Paul Head knocked down three 3-pointers scoring nine points on the evening. 

The Chargers started the game on a 33-8 run and coasted through the first half. All 16 Chargers saw at least eight minutes on the floor tonight with 13 Chargers scoring a basket. Sam Rex played tough on both ends of the floor where he grabbed three rebounds and scored seven straight points. Cade Flowers knocked down two spot up 3-pointers scoring 8 points on the night. 

Coach Andrew Alhadeff was happy with the progress that he saw in his players over the short six week season. After completing his 7th season Coach Alhadeff said, "I am so thankful for our administration for putting a plan in place to allow us to compete this season. I am grateful our student-athletes were willing to overcome the obstacles this season and lock in for the six weeks we had. I am excited to build on this chemistry and bring it into next season."
