    CYPRESS, CA - Cypress College Baseball Head Coach Emeritus, Scott Pickler earned his record-breaking 540th win during his 25th season in the Cape Cod League.
  • Chargers Baseball Nick Bautista and Troy Taylor Selected in the 2022 MLB Draft

    Bautista was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 16th round (469th overall) and Taylor was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 12th round (366th overall) of the 2022 MLB Draft.
  • Chargers Thrilling Season Comes to an End with Loss to Riverside

    The No. 11 Chargers faced elimination for the third time this postseason as they traveled to No. 3 Riverside City College for a rubber match to advance to the CCCAA Sectionals. The Chargers were unable to recover from their 4-run first inning deficit as the Tigers advanced to the next round with a 10-5 victory. 
  • Cypress Baseball Scores 18 Runs to Force Rubber Match Versus Riverside

     Chargers baseball (24-21) faced elimination versus the Riverside Tigers (32-12) on Saturday afternoon. Cypress entered today's game with a 1-0 series deficit, but their bats would not be denied. The Chargers slapped 18 runs on the board to defeat the Tigers1 18-5.
  • Chargers Hit the Road for Super Regional at Riverside College Beginning Friday

     The #11 Cypress Chargers upset the #6 Mt. SAC Mounties in round one of the CCCAA playoffs. Cypress will face a familiar foe in the #3 Riverside City Tigers in the CCCAA Super Regional this weekend. The Chargers and Tigers will play a best-of-three series hosted by Riverside beginning on May 13th at 2pm. 
  • Cypress Baseball Travels to Mt. SAC for Round 1 of CCCAA Regionals

    The #11 Cypress Chargers (21-19) will be on the road for round one of the regional playoffs as they take on #6 Mt. San Antonio (32-8). The Mounties will host a best of three series beginning on Friday, May 6th at 1pm. Games two and three (if necessary) will be played on Saturday in double-header fashion beginning at 12pm. 
  • Hacopian, Honikel and Harris Earn First Team on All-OEC Roster

    Cypress Chargers baseball was well represented on the All-OEC roster as they saw seven of their players selected to All-Conference honors. Eddie Hacopian, Luke Honikel and Brenden Harris were named to the first team, while Nick Baustista, Logan Groff, Noah Karliner and Dean Toigo were named to the second team. 
  • Cypress Takes Season Series Over Fullerton with 15-10 Win

    The Cypress Chargers (21-17, 11-7 OEC) hosted the inter-district rival Fullerton Hornets (20-17, 8-10 OEC) in the three-game series finale on Saturday, April 23rd. The Chargers and Hornets split the first two games, but used the long ball in game three to seal the series victory with a 15-10 win. 
  • From Cypress Charger to Opening Day Starter, Cypress Alum Tylor Megill is Ready to Go

    Cypress baseball alum, Tylor Megill, has been named the Opening Day Starter for the New York Mets on April 7th vs the Washington Nationals. The 2016 Charger standout will begin his 2022 campaign at 4:05 PM PST where he and the Mets will look to earn their first win of the season. 
  • Tostado Comes Up Clutch as Chargers Take Series Over Lasers

    Cypress Chargers baseball (15-13, 7-5 OEC) hosted the Irvine Valley Lasers (14-15, 3-9 OEC) in a rubber match on Saturday afternoon. Late inning heroics by Mario Tostado propelled the Chargers to a series winning 8-7 victory. 
  • Cypress Edges Out Irvine Valley 7-6 in Series Opener

    Cypress Chargers baseball (14-12, 6-4 OEC) opened up a three game series versus the Irvine Valley Lasers (13-14, 2-8 OEC) on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers were able to seal the victory with a 7-6 win.
  • Chargers Bounce Back and Even Series with Saddleback, 17-13

    Cypress Chargers baseball (13-11, 5-3 OEC) hosted the Saddleback Bobcats (18-7, 5-3 OEC) in the second game of a three game series. The Chargers came out of the scoring barrage victorious to take game two, 17-13. 
  • Chargers Take the Series Over Golden West with Thrilling 7-6 Victory

    Cypress baseball (12-10, 4-2 OEC) hosted the Golden West Rustlers (14-9, 2-4 OEC) in the rubber match of their three game series on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers fought back from an early deficit to hold on to a 7-6 victory pushing them to first place in the Orange Empire Conference. 
  • Chargers Late Home Run Makes it Two in a Row Over Santa Ana

    Chargers baseball (10-8, 2-0 OEC) hosted the Santa Ana Dons (15-3-1, 0-2 OEC) in the second game of a three game series on Thursday afternoon. The Chargers came out victorious yet again with the help of a late home run by Luke Honikel. Cypress defeated the Dons 7-6. 
  • Cypress Baseball Begins OEC Play With a Bang, Defeat #1 Santa Ana 11-5

    Cypress Chargers baseball (9-8, 1-0 OEC) began Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers had a tough matchup to begin the season as they hit the road to face the #1 Santa Ana Dons (15-2, 0-1 OEC). Cypress has struggled out of the gates this season, but with an 11-5 upset victory on Tuesday the Chargers may have earned the spark they needed to perform in the very competitive Orange Empire Conference. 
  • Mascaro's Big Bat Leads Cypress Over Citrus, 14-6

    The Cypress Chargers (7-6) hosted the Citrus Owls (6-8) on Friday afternoon. The Chargers kept their big bats going as they exploded for 14 runs and won their third game in a row. 
  • Cypress Holds Off Grossmont to Make it Two in a Row

    The Cypress Chargers are coming off their biggest explosion on offense for the season, scoring 21 runs in a win against Merced on Friday. On Tuesday, the Chargers hosted the Grossmont Griffins and won their second consecutive game in a row, winning (insert final score here).
  • Chargers Offense Explodes with Five Home Runs in Win Over Merced

     The Cypress Chargers (5-6) looked to end their five game losing streak on Friday afternoon when they hosted the Merced Blue Devils (8-4). The Cypress bats took off for some much needed offense as they defeated the Blue Devils, 21-17, in an incredible offensive barrage. 
  • Cypress Battles but Comes Up Short Versus El Camino

    The Cypress Chargers (4-5) hosted the El Camino Warriors (8-2) on Tuesday. The Chargers faced a tough test against the Warriors and starting pitcher, Thomas Bainton who came into the game with a 0.49 ERA. The Chargers were unable to come up with key hits in pivotal spots as El Camino took the victory, 5-4.
  • 9th Inning Rally Falls Short, Chargers Lose 6-5

    The Cypress Chargers (4-2) hosted the LA Pierce Brahmas (2-3) on Tuesday afternoon looking to extend their win streak to five games. After a flurry of errors on defense, the Chargers were unable to get their bats going as they were defeated by the Brahmas 6-5. 
  • Chargers Bounce Back with a 3-2 Victory Against the Moorpark Raiders

    The Chargers bounced back after losing their season opener with a 3-2 walk-off victory against the Moorpark Raiders on Tuesday. The sneaky win comes off the heels of the Chargers going deep into their bullpen while taking advantage of the Raiders only using two pitchers all game long.
  • Chargers Fall in Season Opener, 15-5

    The Cypress Chargers (0-1) opened up their 2022 campaign on Friday afternoon when they hosted the Pasadena City Lancers (2-0). Cypress struggled to get the Lancers out at the plate as they were defeated, 15-5, in their first game of the season.
