  • Seven Chargers Earn OEC All-Conference Honors
    June 09, 2021
    The Orange Empire Conference has released the 2021 All-Conference baseball teams. Coby Morales, Dalton Sloniger, Andrew Sojka, and Brenden Harris earned first-teams honors while Julian Aguiar, Brett Garcia, and Ricky Lane were selected to the second-team.  
  • Chargers Sweep Doubleheader, Bill Pinkham Retires on High Note

    The Cypress baseball team (16-12, 11-7 OEC) hosted Golden West (12-16, 7-11 OEC) in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon to close out the 2021 season. The Chargers split the four-game series against Golden West after defeating the Rustlers in today's doubleheader, 2-0 and 8-6.
  • Ryan Maciel Walks It Off For the Chargers, 4-3

    The Cypress Chargers (14-8, 10-4 OEC) faced off against the Orange Coast Pirates (17-4-14, 12-2 OEC) on Thursday afternoon. The Chargers won in walk-off fashion after a single by Ryan Maciel. 
  • Chargers Comeback Falls Short, Lose to OCC, 10-8

    The Cypress Chargers (13-8, 9-4 OEC) opened up a four game series versus the Orange Coast Pirates (17-3-1, 12-1 OEC) on Tuesday afternoon at Cypress College. The matchup featured the top two teams in the OEC standings. The Pirates took the first of four games, 10-8. 
  • Chargers Storm Back and Walk It Off vs Fullerton, 12-11

    The Cypress baseball team (13-7, 9-3 OEC) hosted Fullerton College (5-15, 2-13 OEC) in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The Chargers finished the four-game series in walk off fashion with a 12-11 victory, after falling in game one, 9-5. 
  • Coby Morales Comes Up Clutch With Late Home Run, Chargers Win 7-4

    The Cypress baseball team (11-5, 7-2 OEC) hosted Santa Ana College (9-6, 7-2 OEC) in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The Chargers finished the four-game series against the Dons with three wins after a, 4-7, win in the series finale. 
  • Tostado Goes Deep Twice, Chargers Win 17-4
    April 29, 2021
    Cypress Chargers baseball (9-1, 5-0 OEC) hosted Saddleback College (6-4, 3-2 OEC) for the second game of the four game series. The Chargers took care of business Thursday afternoon defeating Saddleback, 17-4, staying undefeated in conference play. 
  • Chargers Use the Long Ball to Take Down Saddleback, 8-3

    The Cypress Chargers (8-1, 4-0 OEC) hosted Saddleback College on Tuesday afternoon (6-3, 3-1 OEC) to begin a four game series. The Chargers hit three home runs on their way to victory as they outlasted Saddleback, 8-3. 
  • Tostado Walk-Off HR Clinches Series Over Mt. SAC, 3-1
    April 23, 2021
    The Cypress College baseball team (7-1, 4-0 OEC) hosted Mt. San Antonio College (3-5) in their last double-header of a four-game series on Friday afternoon. The Chargers defeated the Mounties in the Friday's first matchup, 4-3, followed by an incredible walk-off win in game two on a home run from Mario Tostado to win, 5-3. 
  • Cypress Baseball Pushes to 5-0, Defeats Mt. SAC 10-2
    April 20, 2021
    The Cypress College baseball team (5-0, 3-0 OEC) opened up a four game series versus the Mount San Antonio Mounties (2-3) on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers exploded for 10 runs and took down the Mounties, 10-2. 
  • Chargers Dominate Season Opening Double Header, 5-4 and 9-4

    The Cypress baseball team (4-0, 3-0 OEC) hosted Irvine Valley College (0-4, 0-3 OEC) in a double header on Friday afternoon. The Chargers pulled out two impressive wins over the Lasers to complete the four game sweep to open the season.

  • Chargers Baseball Ranked #1 in 2021 Southern California Preseason Poll

    The California Community College Coaches Association released their preseason rankings for the 2021 season. The Cypress Chargers were voted into the top spot of twenty teams in Southern California. The Chargers were one of six Orange Empire Conference teams to make the list.
