Comets charge past Cypress

CYPRESS, CA (12/1/2022) -- Continuing their win streak, Palomar faced Cypress College on day one of the Lady Charger Classic and won 70-57.

In true Comet fashion, the women jumped out to an 18-4 lead after one quarter and didn't let up as they outscored the Chargers 21-9 in the second. The Comets let the Chargers back in the game in the second half, just barely getting outscored in both the third and fourth quarters. 

Sophomore Deajanar Harvey posted another double-double scoring 21 points and securing 13 rebounds with five assists and four steals. Sophomore Faith Schwantner came to life offensively going 6-8 in the field, 4-5 beyond the arc, scoring 19 points. As a team, Palomar had 45 rebounds, caused 18 turnovers while committing 18 of their own.

Palomar moves to 7-0 overall and will face Citrus College on Saturday.
