After knocking off first-place Santa Ana College 4-3 on Monday, the Hornets dropped the ball at home Wednesday at home against Cypress College 8-1.
Fullerton came into the game feeling great after a big win on Monday grabbing a 1-0 in the second inning against the Chargers. Ariana Gonzalez came up to bat rocking a double to left center scoring Bella Morales from first base. Unfortunately, that would be the only run the Hornets would score as the errors piled up allowing Cypress to take advantage.
A total of 6 FC errors put a wet blanket on any hope of the Hornets pulling off the needed Orange Empire Conference win. Tying the game up 1-1 in the top of the third, Cypress went on to score 5 runs in the fifth and 2 runs in the sixth to win the game.
