Citrus Men's Water Polo hosted an invitational tournament this weekend that featured seven teams from around the Southern California Region, including a pair of NCAA Division III teams in Occidental College and Cal Tech. The Owls played three matches over the two day span. On Saturday they took on Occidental College and Chaffey, then Sunday took on Cypress to wrap things up.

The Occidental game went the way of the Tigers in commanding fashion. The Owls dropped the contest 1-23; Saturday's 2nd game vs Chaffey ended in a Chaffey victory, 22-11; and Cypress topped the Owls 17-11 on Sunday.

The losses keep Citrus in the red with an 0-7 start to the 2019 season. The guys get a long break before they dive in again on September 27-28 at the South of the Border Tournament in San Diego.
