WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: BIG RIVALRY WIN

The FC women's volleyball team pulled off a 3-1 win over district and conference rival Cypress College on Friday night for their fourth straight road win.

Game one was everything the match was supposed to be, a battle between two strong-willed teams. A back-and-forth game, the Hornets edged the Chargers 26-24. Game two belonged to Cypress as they overpowered FC 19-25. Fullerton fought back in game three taking it 25-21. FC clinched game four to win it 25-20 beating the Chargers in a match one of two for the season series.

Saylor Frew (18 kills 14 digs) and Faith Webb (14 kills 14 digs) provided the firepower, while Karen Delgadillo handed out 31 assists. Chloe Johnson chipped in with 18 assists, while Hannah Tobin (13 digs) and Priscilla Gutierrez (11 digs) put in some work. Samaria Longstreet also played a key role in the win with 13 kills and 9 blocks.

Up Next: The Hornets (8-6 overall, 3-1 conference) will continue their 7-game road stretch this Wednesday, October 9th when they play at Riverside City College for another conference match. The match will begin at 6:00 pm.
