CYPRESS, CA- The women's water polo team went 4-0 in the Battle At the Beach tournament this past weekend.
The Chargers defeated East LA College (21-4), Diablo Valley College (13-12), Rio Hondo College (18-6), and Southwestern College (12-2).
Cypress had their first overtime victory against Diablo Valley College, 13-12. Hanah Salazar (5 goals, 2 steals) forced overtime when she scored in the last seconds of the game. Then, Jezebell Cervantes (2 goals, 3 steals) and Felicia Winslow (2 goals) scored in overtime for the match victory.
The Chargers closed the tournament 12-2 against Southwestern College and finished the weekend with a 10-8 overall season record.
UP NEXT: Cypress women's water polo will host the Riverside Tigers in their last home game of the season on October 26th. The match will begin at 3PM.
