Natasha Velez Earns Charger of the Week (Sept. 17-23)

Sophomore women's water polo standout, Natasha Velez, earned her second career Charger of the Week Award during Wednesday's practice. Velez is the first women's water polo player this season to receive the award.

Velez went on a tear during the Chargers' four games at the Mt. SAC Classic last weekend. The La Habra High School alumna scored 20 goals with 3 assists, while adding 26 steals on the defensive end for the tournament.

Women's water polo is currently 3-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Velez leads the Orange Empire Conference in steals and ranks third in the in goals scored.
