CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College women's water polo team (12-7, 2-3 OEC) made a statement in Wednesday's 13-1 victory at home over Saddleback College (6-8, 1-3 OEC). The 12-point margin of victory is the largest for Cypress water polo in conference play since the 2014 season.
Recent Charger of the Week recipient Kaylie Merrill recorded a season-high 16 saves to limit the Gauchos offense. Sophomore Ariel Burns led the Chargers with 6 goals and 3 steals, while Allison Gracia added 2 goals and 6 assists.
Women's water polo will return to action on Wednesday, October 18 at Orange Coast College. Game time scheduled for 3:00 pm.
