CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College Women's Volleyball team (11-4, 3-2 OEC) remains undefeated at home after a 3-0 sweep over Riverside City College (4-8, 1-4 OEC) on Friday night (25-8, 25-17, 28-26). The Chargers swept two Friday nights in a row.
The Chargers took control of the first two sets with a 2-0 lead over the Tigers (25-8, 25-17). Freshman, Shayna Martinez had a tremendous night putting up 23 kills, 2 aces, 4 digs, and 1 block assist. As well as the winning kill in the third set to put away the match (28-26). Kaelie Tulette (7 kills, 1 dig) opened the match with a massive block to get the Chargers rolling. Jessica Ferreira added 13 digs and 2 aces and Mikayla Kadowaki setting her team to victory with 23 assists, 1 ace, and 9 digs.
UP NEXT: The Chargers continue conference-play at Orange Coast College on Wednesday, October 5th. Match starts at 6:00PM.
