Freshman women's volleyball standout Penina Wilder earned her first ever Charger of the Week during on Friday after outstanding performances in Cypress victories over Golden West and Santa Ana (Oct. 9-15).  

Wilder began the week by serving up a season-high 43 assists, along with 7 digs, in the Chargers' sweep of the then No. 25 Golden West Rustlers. She followed that up with 38 assists, 8 digs, and a season-high 3 service aces to help Cypress sweep past the Santa Ana College Dons.

The Long Beach Wilson alumna currently ranks second on the team in total assists and assists per set this season.
